Title: is it halal to do invitro fertilization?

is it halal to do invitro fertilization?

Question Answer

Allah is the creator of the universe. He created the heavens and the earth. Everything is subject to His Will. As believers, we should appreciate that granting of children is the sole prerogative of Allah. Allah whose knowledge is infinite and full of wisdom will bless a person with children at a time that is appropriate to that person?s specific situation. At times, Allah may not grant a couple children and this is also a blessing unto them. Sometimes, Allah tests man through this. Nabi Zakariyya (alayhimus salaam) received the bounty of a child in his old age. Amongst the negative characteristics of artificial inseminations are: a) Unnatural conception, b) A woman is required to expose her private parts. However, inability to conceive is also essentially a medical problem. Islam has encouraged us to adopt medical treatment as a means. Therefore, if a geniune medical condition exists, e.g. infertility, etc. then under the guidance of an upright competent medical doctor, artificial insemination may be adopted as a medical treatment with the following conditions: 1. A surrogate mother is not used; 2. Only the cells of the wife are used; 3. Only the sperm of the husband is used. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

Title: if you ask allah for forgiveness will you be forgiven, regardless of how big the sin was?

if you ask allah for forgiveness will you be forgiven, regardless of how big the sin was? they say that allah is all-forgiving, so my question is would you be forgiven for a sin, providing you are truly sorry for it and ask for forgiveness? also, would it depend on the seriousness of the sin? (for example if you cursed someone behind their back - small. or you had pre-marital sex - big). If so, what are the differences or reasons for forgiveness?

Question Answer

Allah states, O MY slaves who have transgressed against themselves, despair not of the mercy of Allah. Verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is oft-forgiving, most merciful. Nabi [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam], Allah states, O mankind, if your sins reach the sky and you seek forgiveness from me, I will forgive you and it would not matter to Me.? Title: What is the status of an illegitimate child in Islam?

What is the status of an illegitimate child in Islam? An illegitimate child is born. The child given for adoption into a Muslim home. After several years the child finds out who the biological parents are. What is the Childs status in Islam? How does inheritance work in this case? What are the child’s rights towards the biological parents and the adoptive parents?

Question Answer

1. there are many situations where a child would be classified as illegitimate. a. If a child is born within and before six months of the marriage, the child is illegitimate. If the child was born after six months of the marriage, then this child will not be regarded illegitimate even though the mother committed Zina and was conceived before the marriage. Zina is a major sin which incurs the wrath of Allah for which a person must sincerely repent. If a child is born out of wedlock, this child to a greater extent would be illegitimate. b. An illegitimate child will not inherit from the father as the Shariah does not recognize his lineage. c. Similarly, the child will not inherit from the adopting parents as well as they are not his Sharee heirs or vice versa. Yes, they may make a bequest up to 1/3 of their total assets in favor of the adopted child. d. Understand from the outset that Islam and Deen have ordered us to respect our parents even if they be disbelievers. Many virtues and warnings have been mentioned as to the obedience and disobedience of parents respectively. Nabi [Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam] had an adopted son by the name of Zayd ibn Haarith. Nabi [Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam] loved him a lot and Zayd [Radhiallahu anhu] also loved Nabi [Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam]. Therefore, one should respect both, i.e. biological as well as adoptive parents. e. In Islam, an illegitimate child will not inherit from the father nor will Nafaqah be established, i.e. expenses for the child will not be binding on the father for the child. Similarly, his Imaamat, i.e. performing Salaat will also be disliked and in these cases where people will look at him negatively. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

Title: can you please tell me if the nikah of the son is broken if his father sleeps with his son's wife?

can you please tell me if the nikah of the son is broken if his father sleeps with his son's wife? Can you please tell me if the nikah of the son is broken if his father sleeps with his son's wife? Also, if the son's wife is his mother's niece, then what about his father's nikah with his mother, will it be valid? Is that still valid??

Question Answer

Incest, in whatever form, is a very grave and detrimental sin in the viewpoint of the Shari'ah. Not only does this heinous act result in great punishment in the hereafter, but in the very world it sets off a frightening chain reaction. Consider the following Shar'ee ruling: Should a man commit adultery or even touch a blood relative with lust and desire then automatically the Usool - ascendants (parents, etc.) and Furooh - descendants (children, etc.) of both parties become Haraam (forbidden in marriage) upon each other. (Shaami Vol. 2 pp. 32-36). Example 1: If a man touches his daughter-in-law with lust and desire then his son and daughter-in-law (son's wife) become Haraam upon one another. They can no longer stay together with one another as husband and wife. Example 2: If the father touches his daughter with lust and desire then he and his wife (his daughter's mother) become Haraam upon one another. THE MUSLIM PUBLIC IS HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT THE DARUL IFTA IS FREQUENTLY FACED WITH THE ABOVE SITUATIONS AND THE CONSEQUENCES LEAD TO MARRIAGE BREAK-DOWN AND UNTOLD HEARTACHE. In order to avoid the ghastly consequences of the above types of situations, it is advisable that men and women strictly adhere to maintaining the Laws of Purdah and separation of sexes, which have been prescribed for the peace and harmony of mankind. If the son's wife is his mother's niece, then the father's Nikah still remains intact. And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

Title: Is a step-son considered as a Mahram to his step-mother?1. My mother died and my father re-married. I am 20 years old. Can I take her for hajj/umra alone? 2. Can a disabled man (i.e. blind) be a mahram to his wife on a journey for Hajj/Umra?

Question Answer

1) Yes, a stepson is considered a mahram for his stepmother. However, if there is a fear of fitna, than it should be avoided. Tabyiynul Haqaiq, vol 2, pg 232, Beirut 2) the condition of a mahram for travel has been instituted by the shariah for various reasons. Amongst them are the rooting out of any possibility of fitna or evil taking place and that the man be of assistance to the woman because of her being weaker biologically. Considering that a blind man may not be able to perform these functions effectively, we advise that he be considered only in absence of any other able mahram and a pressing need for travel exists. Title: Offering Zuhar prayer

I am studying in a city which is more than 130 KM away from my home. For the time being I am continuing my studies from my home city. Classes are held for few days a week. Sometimes I return back my home after attending class. On other times when classes are held on consecutive days, I reside there for one night and return back home after attending class on the second day. I leave home after zuhr prayer; therefore I offer asar prayer (four rakats) with zuhr (two rakats) prayer. Further, again I offer asar prayer with zuhr prayer on the day on which I reside there (two rakats for both prayers). Kindly tell me whether I am doing correctly or not? If not, how should I perform prayers during my traveling or stay at another city? Thanks.

Question Answer

According to our understanding, your question relates to joining of Salaats while travelling. 1. According to the Hanafi Madhab, you can join between two Salaats in one Salaat time. 2. If you stay away from your home for lesser than 15 days, then you should pray Qasr Salaat at that place. You should perform full Salaat while at home. And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

Is this true or false? Please answer as soon as possible. Thank you for your help.

Title: Ghusl Method

Please tell me the exact & correct method of performing ghusl

Question Answer

THE METHOD OF WUDHU N.B.: The person making Wuhu will be referred to as mutawad-dhi. The mutawad-dhi should Endeavour to face the kiblah while making Wudhu. It is best to sit on a raised or high place when making Wudhu in order to be out of reach of water splashing. It is far nobler and meritorious to make Wuhu by pouring water from some container, e.g. a jug. Use of a tap in Wuhu entails great waste of water, and Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ?layhi Wasallam) has warned against wasting water even at the river bank. Making niyyat (intention) of Wudhu, recite (BISMILLA-HIR RAHMANIR-RAHIM). In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. First of all, wash both hands as far as the wrists, thrice, beginning with the right hand. Thereafter rinse the mouth thrice and use a Miswaak. In the absence of a Miswaak use a coarse cloth to clean the teeth. Remember that a toothbrush is not an adequate substitute for a Miswaak. However, since the use of a cloth is in the Sunnah when a Miswaak is not available, it (cloth) could be regarded as an adequate substitute. If the toothbrush is made up of bristles, (pig's hair), its use will be haraam. If one is not fasting then gargle as well. Thereafter apply water thrice into the nostrils with the right hand and clean the nose with the little finger of the left hand. If the mutawad-dhi is fasting, water should not be drawn higher than the soft or fleshy part of the nostrils. Wash then the entire face thrice. The limits of the face for Wudhu purpose is from the limits of the hair at the forehead until below the chin, and from ear to ear. Water must reach below the eyebrows as well. This is followed by making khilaal of the beard. The right hand, including the arm and elbow, should then be washed thrice. Then wash the left hand in exactly the same manner. This is followed by making masah of the whole head; masah of the ears; masah of the nape (i.e. back of the neck); and khilaaal of the fingers of both hands. Thereafter wash the right foot, including the ankles, thrice; then wash the left foot in the same way. Make khilaal of the toes. The perfect Wudhu requires that all the Sunnat duaa be recited at the appropriate times during Wudhu and after Wudhu. HOW TO MAKE GHUSL The following is the Sunnat method of taking Ghusl. Proceed with the Ghusl, step by step, as enumerated hereunder: 1. First wash both hands as far as the wrists. The hands should not be dipped in the basin of water for washing. Water should either run from the tap on to the hands or poured from a container. 2. Wash the parts of istinja (the private parts and surrounding area). This should be washed whether there is najaasat (impurity) or not. 3. Wash the part of the body wherever there is some impurity. 4. Make a full Wudhu now. However, if Ghusl is being taken in a place where the water pools around the feet, then delay the washing of the feet until the end of the Ghusl. 5. After Wudhu, pour water thrice over the head. 6. Thereafter, pour water thrice over the right shoulder. 7. Then, pour water thrice over the left shoulder. The water should be poured in such a way that the entire body is thoroughly drenched. 8. If the feet were not washed at the time of Wudhu, wash them now. While pouring the water, rub well on the body to ensure that no spot remains dry. 'A Perfect Wudhu wards off rewards from you' (Umar bin Khattab (Radhiallaahu ?nhu))

Title: How many minutes after Sunset can we make Iftaar?

We stay in a suburb with no masjid near us. We use the perpetual Sallah timetable to determine salaah times. For Ramadhaan, I was hoping you would be able to tell me how long after the sunset time shown on the timetable, can we make Iftaar. Timetable shows the time of Sunset. Jazakallah hu Khair

Question Answer

Perpetual Salaah timetables are usually based on Nautical Almanacs which do not accommodate for the extra quarter day every year (resulting in a leap year every four years); there is a slight inaccuracy of a few minutes.
